Job en de Leeuw

Job den Dulk and Moniek de Leeuw have known each other for years from all the festivals and stages where they played together with their bands Convoi Exceptional and Balcony Players. During a nightly New Year’s Eve jam in a yurt somewhere on the Rotte, the musical spark was ignited and the duo Job & De Leeuw was born! Spontaneous shows soon followed in 2020 and the audience responded enthusiastically. They can also regularly be seen on the street with an interactive street act.
Job & de Leeuw play exciting self-written gypsy songs with influences from klezmer and bluegrass rags. With violin, cajon, guitar, tap dance and their voices they produce the sound of a complete band and let people dance and enjoy themselves. With the occasional sensitive song to dream away to.
Moniek released her solo album Sea Roots in 2019, from which the duo also plays songs. In addition, Job released his Dutch-language solo EP Donker & Licht in 2021, and they also weave those songs into their repertoire.
