Surfana Secret African Dance Party at MAKAI beach

The 13th of August Surfana will host the ‚AFRICAN DANCE PARTY AT MAKAI BEACH’. 

DOORS OPEN 15:00-23:00 

Together with friends, DJ’s and a band we want to celebrate and create a magical evening. This party is all about having fun, dancing and getting loose.

The Location MAKAI Beach is easily reachable by public transport from Amsterdam, Zandvoort or Haarlem. Just jump on the bus at the main stations and get off at Ijmuiden aan Zee. The Beach Bar is just right next to the station. Check out MAKAI Beach. 

This quite secret and hidden spot is easy to reach with public transport. Just hop on a bus from Amsterdam, Haarlem or Zandvoort, it’s worth the ride out of the cities to spend a day at the beach.

You can expect amapiano beats, afro house and afro beats. All music that you simply cannot stand still but have to dance to. The water is right next to us so if you need to cool down inbetween you can grab a surfboard from MAKAI.

Food and drinks are served by MAKAI Beach and the Caipi Boys. We will serve different kinds of African inspired food and fresh drinks so you don’t have to worry about a single thing during this party but having fun with us. 

Doors will be open from 15:00 in the afternoon. To kick off the evening we will start off with a band. To warm up and get everyone loose we will learn some dance moves so we are all ready for dancing to the finest tunes played by our DJs.

Patrick Appiah – better known as Ricks – is a Dutch/Ghanian Dj from Amsterdam who is mainly known for his strong afro sounds and making the crowd dance all night long.
