What started as a Surf School in 2007, built on a love for the ocean and a desire to share joyful experiences, has grown into a full-blown celebration of the good life. Every year, in the wild dunes of the Dutch coast, Surfana Festival brings their community together for a weekend of music, movement, and meaningful moments.
At the heart of Surfana Festival is a non-profit mission. Through our foundation, we create spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and the world around them. This not-for-profit mission allows Surfana Festival to retain it’s wild & free spirit and focus on being experimental playground for it’s broad community.

More than 60+ workshops invite you to dive into creativity, challenge your limits, or simply play. Learn a new skill, reflect inward, or try something you never thought you would. There’s something for everyone — from board sports and breathwork to cooking with wild herbs, learning sustainable skills and exploring your creativity. Our program is built for all ages to thrive and connect with one another.
Surfana Festival is born from the surf community – where living with nature, not just in it, is second nature. That’s why we take our responsibility seriously: to care for the planet, for each other, and for the future. Together with Green Deal Circular Festivals and a network of partners, we’re committed to reducing emissions, embracing circular systems, and being honest about where we are and where we need to go.

Hosted by independent entrepreneurs, each workshop is shared with joy – by the community, for the community.
Surfana Festival is a place of sonic discovery — where you stumble upon new sounds, connect through rhythm, and experience artists on the rise in an intimate, natural setting. Over the years, we’ve welcomed acts like My Baby, Elmer, Nusantara Beat, Sean Koch, and Ziggy Alberts — all before they took to bigger stages. Whether it’s a soulful sunset session or a late-night dance in the dunes, the music at Surfana moves with the moment, and always stays with you.
Tucked into the dunes of the Kennemerduinen National Park, Surfana Festival keeps you close to the sea, the sand, and the stillness. We’re all about moving mindfully, leaving no trace, and giving more than we take.
